Laura James's Wifflings

This is just a place for things that I think it might be useful to write down and put somewhere.

Went to see the latest Star Wars film, Attack of the Clones, last night - and it was good! Better than Phantom Menace. I particularly liked the range of nice/nasty outfits Amidala wore, and the huge range of very pretty ships. C3P0's puns were terrible or hilarious; and the action parts were the best bits. I guess it had a slow start but the second half more than made up for it.

After all the rain on Monday, carefully timed to coincide with the first ever ALC/ORL Memorial Bike Crawl, it has turned out sunny and warm today. Obviously good weather to visit one's solicitor! Lots of interesting (and passionate!) discussion on the IEE forums lately over the future of the IEE as it relates to the new Membership Proposals, that go to the vote in a month's time. It is highly controversial, as the old guard confront the newer IT crowd, and a lot of confused people get stuck in the middle. It's hard to imagine how the IEE can continue to exist without some change, although I think the proposed alterations will do little to postpone this eventuality.
