It was the Lab Christmas Party last night, which was excellent.

Test your ability to guess trajectories with a penguin! Fun! Also looking like fun is recreating the first observed soliton. Solitons - more common than you'd think (just try a Google search...).

I'm not very good at trajectories, it turns out. But I did manage to create a pretty picture (in which poor old Kevin was trapped, looping round the planet forever) - I've posted it here. Hmmm.... ah - on my next go I did it, and it's even prettier now! Look at the distance I managed on that one, too. Mmm... high scores!

I collected a small number of comics that I like and put them here; they seem to be suffering a little from right-shifting though, so I should fix them up properly at some point.

After all the recent discussion about Segway (a name I really can't like, at all), this Userfriendly comic is rather good.

Back on the usual food theme, Cadbury's Roses seem different to how I recall them. Is this just because I've had more Quality Street lately? Or have they really changed most of the chocolates in Roses?
